How to Do First Position in Dance

Steps
11.First,to warm up the muscles in your feet,you can go into a pike or straddle position and just point and flex your feet.
22.Next,after your feet and toes are warmed up you can stand up with your feet together and touching.
33.After,start separating you toes while keeping your heels glued together.
44.Once you can't go any farther,stop.You do not want to hurt your feet and body by pushing it too far.
55.Finally,when your heels are glued together and toes are spread apart,you are finished and in sixth position.
Tips
*.It always helps to stretch out your whole body.
*.Pretend as if your heels were glued together
Warnings
*.never push yourself too far,causing ankle or foot damage.
Things You'll Need
Ballet shoes and tights are optional,unless you take a ballet class.
